Description
DDA is working with a busy family in Greenwich, CT with 8-month old twins and an 8-year old boy. The executive couple is in need of a wonderful, long-term, live-in Family Assistant (FA) to start ASAP. The FA will have fully furnished private living quarters and must have at least 3+years of professional childcare and infant experience with a clean driving record.
The FA’s work schedule is full-time Monday-Friday with the flexibility to work overnights and weekends when needed. The ideal candidate is well organized, smart and a great communicator. We are looking for FA’s who have a strong work ethic, long-term tenure with previous families/employers and a positive attitude. Since this is a long-term position, we are looking for someone who can commit to this position for many years.
Important FA qualifications:
- Must love children and have experience with infants
- Comfortable around a Labrador
- When the workload is lighter, adept at finding ways to add value
- Working calmly but efficiently under pressure
- Must always act with discretion, tact, composure, and in ways that maintain/enhance the family’s reputations and relationships
- CPR Certification (adult, child & infant) and or willingness to become re-certified
- Available for overnight care of the children and dog when the couple travels
- Must be able to dress appropriately and represent the family professionally
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Full care of 8-month old twins (feeding, bathing etc.)
- Running errands for family
- Driving family members on occasion
- Managing twin’s schedule
- Assist the couple as needed
- Light housekeeping (cleaning up after twins etc.)
- Cooking for family is ideal but not required
- Overnight care for the children when the parent’s are traveling
