Description
Utah based family is in search for a mature, live-in/out, family assistant (FA) for a family of four, with 3 cats, 1 dog and a lot of chickens to start ASAP. The main responsibility of the FA is working as a team player with the parents to ensure the children (ages 11 and 12) pets and household are well taken care of. It's important that the FA is energetic and loves working as a parent-helper as well as independently.
The ideal candidate is a career nanny/family assistant who would like to relocate to this area or who is local to the area. If it’s a good fit for both parties the FA can live-in temporarily until she finds her own housing, or live-in with the family long-term. The family is able to offer a private room and bathroom in their main home. We are hoping to find a great match for this family who will be with them for many years.
Other duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- All childcare related duties
- Driving the children (must have a great driving record)
- Teaching, tutoring & supervision of school work
- Running errands
- Grocery shopping
- Light housekeeping
- Scheduling the children’s activities, schoolwork, appointments etc.
- Keeping up CPR/First Aid certifications
- Pet care for family’s pets when they travel
- Family’s laundry
- Organizing
Qualifications and characteristics in the FA include the following:
- Trustworthy and able to maintain the utmost confidentiality
- Active and patient with the children
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Alert, Fast and sharp, with an ability to handle potential security risks swiftly
- Organized, self-starter
- Punctual and Reliable
- Proactive in household duties
- Competent and also likable, fun to be around for the whole family
- Limiting personal use of cell phone while on the job
- Open communicator
Salary is more or less than advertised based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications and previous long-term tenure as a FA. 3+ years tenure in a current or previous position is preferred.
