DDA is in search for a professional Personal Assistants (PA) for a busy executive in Miami, FL. We are looking for local PA’s with a minimum of 5 years of experience and ideally those with some executive assistant experience who are computer savvy and can work well in a fast paced environment. Attention to detail is crucial for this position!
The PA’s work schedule is full-time Monday-Friday with occasional weekends if the Principal is entertaining or traveling. Hours are M-F TBD. Flexibility to stay later or come in earlier when needed is essential.
The ideal candidate is well organized, smart and a great communicator. We are looking for PA’s who have a strong work ethic, long-term tenure with previous families/employers and a positive can-do attitude. Since this is a long-term position, we are looking for someone who can commit to this position for many years.
PA qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (ideal)
- Previous executive assistant experience is a plus but not required.
- Family office experience is a plus but not required.
- Computer savvy and experience with researching and purchasing.
- Experience in event planning.
- Superb calendar, travel, and administrative management skills.
- Experience with juggling and fulfilling a dynamic workload with lots of moving parts.
- When the workload is lighter, adept at finding ways to add value.
- Working calmly but efficiently under pressure.
- Eager to learn and grow, often on the fly and on-the-job.
- Able and willing to carry and move heavy objects such as boxes, furniture/furnishings as needed; must be able to lift up to 50lbs; capable of physical aspects of the work.
- Must always act with discretion, tact, composure, and in ways that maintain/enhance the Principal’s reputations and relationships.
- CPR Certification or willingness to become certified.
- COVID-19 vaccinated
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Managing Principal’s schedule, calendar and commitments.
- Assist other household staff and couple as needed
- Running errands
One of the most important qualities in the PA is that they have an affable personality and can take charge when needed but can also follow specific directions. Part of the job description is being proactive and anticipating the needs of the Principal over time. The PA needs to be able to respond professionally to both positive and potentially negative feedback while keeping open and honest communication.
