The DDA headquarters are in Austin, TX. However, we interview candidates at different locations throughout the USA in person and via Zoom.

We interview all candidates in-person or virtually based on the candidate's location.
What is the difference between a Nanny and a Family Assistant?
A Nanny's main and only responsibility is childcare. This includes cooking, feeding, cleaning, scheduling, driving, laundry, etc. for the children only. If the family needs someone to help them with their own personal errands or household duties such as laundry, cooking, or ironing for the entire family, we consider this to be a Family Assistant.
What is the difference between a Family Assistant and a Household Manager or Personal Assistant?
A Family Assistant’s main responsibility is childcare, which is at least 50% of his/her duties. If the family needs someone to do 50% or more of non-childcare related duties, (such as household management or personal assistant work) the position title will reflect the greater percentage of responsibilities. After a successful placement when do I pay?
All payments must be paid in full before the candidate's starting work date; this is for every service offered.
Do I have to pay taxes as an employer?

Is a domestic employee considered to be an independent contractor or an employee?
Domestic Employees are NOT independent contractors, they are considered to be household employees.
What if I want to start a search for more than one domestic employee?
The $150 Registration Fee will cover the search for up to two positions if the requests are made at the same time.
After I pay the Registration Fee, what guarantee do I have that the agency will find me a suitable match?
We can not ‘guarantee’ that we will find you a perfect match, however, we will advise you on how to offer a competitive position that will help us make the best long-term placement for your family. Our placement specialists will help you through this process.
How long will it take to find the right candidate for me?
The amount of time it takes to find a good match varies for each request. Our placements typically take a minimum of 3 weeks (from start to hire) but we highly recommend starting a search as early as 3 months in advance.
