A Family Assistant’s main responsibility is childcare, which is at least 50% of his/her duties. If the family needs someone to do 50% or more of non-childcare related duties, (such as household management or personal assistant work) the position title will reflect the greater percentage of responsibilities. For instance, if a domestic employee’s duties are 60% housekeeping, and 40% childcare, he/she would be considered a housekeeper. This is true for all positions.
