Those looking for private lessons
Whether it is drawing lessons, tennis or cello lessons, the Deborah Calkin Agency will find you a teacher who will come to your home or designated place, to give you the one on one instruction and encouragement you need. We check degrees, certifications, and references and make sure your instructors are highly capable of helping you accomplish whatever your goals are. We have instructors who specialize in teaching children, special needs, and those with disabilities. Let us know what you want to learn and we’ll find someone to teach it to you.
Potential teachers
Since there are hundreds of endless possibilities for “private lessons”, the Deborah Calkin Agency is currently only accepting applicants for an as-need-basis. Basically, we are only interviewing those applicants who fit the criteria of what we are currently looking for which will be posted under jobs on our home page. If there is nothing listed, it means we are not in search of instructors for the time being, and unfortunately don’t have the time to interview anyone who may offer private lessons.
Cost
Each instructor has their own fees based on their skill level, experience as a teacher, credits, certificates or degrees. We can help you find a teacher to fit with in your reasonable budget, but cannot adjust their fees.
Placement Fee
Only after we have successfully matched you with an instructor, we charge a one-time placement fee of $50 and $10 for each lesson given.
For unlimited lessons for up to 6 months we charge a one-time fee of $300.
Unlimited lessons for up to 1 year we charge a one-time fee of $500.
