DCA Nanny Certification Course

The Deborah Calkin Agency Nanny Certification Course is geared for either professional nannies who want to sharpen their nanny skills as well as those who have no nanny or child care experience. Nannies and Sitters will also have the opportunity to renew their CPR and First Aid Certifications as an instructor will be there for part of the training. The class will cover the following topics:

• Newborn Care
• Communicating with Parents
• Childproofing Home
• Schedules and Organizing
• Nutrition and Cooking
• Laundry & Housekeeping
• Discipline
• Educational Activities

The cost of the Nanny Course is $250. Upon completion of the class you will be CPR and First Aid certified, have a DCA Nanny Certification, a DCA Nanny Manual (with scheduling forms), and access to the agency’s Child Care Help service. Classes are kept small for individual attention and will be starting in October of 2010. Tuition: Registration is $250.00 for the course; including manuals. A $100.00 deposit is due at registration. This is a non-refundable deposit, as manuals will be ordered and fees will be paid in advance to the class date.
